Hi everyone, reaching out for help, advice and reassurance that we aren’t alone. Our daughter will be 4 this week and has been a superstar with wee’s and poo’s until the other day when she experienced a painful poo. Now she is scared of the toilet for both wee and poo and also of the bath. I have managed to get her to have a wee on the toilet but she is petrified of having a poo. She is in discomfort and it’s stopping her from doing anything and she just wants to sit on the sofa all day.
Any useful advice, tips or anything to help us get through this would be very much appreciated. Will be ringing the doctor tomorrow but not sure what they will suggest. We have started her on some Duphalac that the pharmacist recommended.

Thank you, can you get those over the counter or do you need a prescription? Trying to get through to the doctors but no surprises they are very busy at the moment.
Play a poo game with a bear and cut some paper shapes up and colour it. If you have a potty pretend bear/ doll action man uses potty. My younger daughter uses baby somesimes and takes her to tbe toilet, tried this with my older step daughter worked for a little while.
