Hi, my 10 year old son leaks urine, has a small bladder capacity, struggles to 'hold it' when he gets the urge to go and wets on a night. He's had his first urology appointment after waiting 2 years, he's going to have an MRI scan, can anyone explain in simple terms what the MRI will show and how it can help? Thanks!

If it's anything like the ones my husband used to have then it's like an x-ray scan but for soft tissue. His where to monitor the cancer tumors that had spread from his prostate to his bladder then eventually his bowel.
In your case they should be able to see what size his bladder is, if his bowel is putting pressure on it, possibly they could also see his kidneys.
