Intentional poos/wees

If I'm stuck in a situation where I have the appropriate chance to use my pull-ups, like a long car trip or waiting in a line, is it ok if I intentionally use my nappy if I need to wee/poo.

The reason I'm asking is because last week I was on a long car trip and I had to poo urgently, but we had no place to stop soon enough. I asked my aunt if I could poo in my pull-ups and she said no. I ended up having cramps until I inevitably filled my nappy.

If you find yourself needing to use your pullups often you need to get yourself to the toilet before leaving home.

I don't see anything wrong with using a pad or a pullup if it saves you having an uncontrollable accident, I've had lots of times where I've needed to relieve myself while waiting for a toilet where if I'd waited I could have had a full on accident.

Stella has it right. I have heard of pilots who do long cargo flights will wear protection, only because it is the only way to be able to empty their bladders as they can't leave the cockpit. I also read something else quite a while back about the soaring sales of disposable protective underwear and diapers in China because of no access to facilities either on the trains, or stops long enough at stations for rides that were 3 hours long or more. It's okay if you're going to lose it anyway, but don' get used to doing it totally for convenience, or even worse, not even trying to hold it. Whether it's true or not, I've heard of people, even older kids who have done that and gradually got to the point where they lost control and had to be retrained. I have also run across this in a forum years ago (gone now) from a parent asking if it was okay make their kids wear protection in the car so that they could do a something like 4 + hour non stop drive to Florida. If I remember correctly none of them had bladder issues day or night. Of course, the answer was that they were just their family, and they should make planned stops for bathrooms and the like.
