Was Constipation only. Now refusing to wee on loo

Our son 4yr 6mth has been on Movicol for about 5 weeks. We have started a strong but fun 'toilet time' routine which was supported really well by nursery. Reading books on the loo, foucs on 'sitting on the loo' and not 'producing something' and were starting to see results. However we are now in Isolation and we've hit an unexpected issue. Where weeing on the loo was successful he now gets very very upset, crying and insisting he wants to 'do it in his pull-up'. He is holding it in and even wetting himslef whilst stood next too the loo. The past two evenings he has withheld a wee in the evening until he has his pull up on and weed in it before getting into bed. I am not sure how to handle it. Any advice from those who have overcome this issue would be greatly appriciated. My fear is that it is now a problem in his head and not a physical issue. We start school in Sept so have that added worry.
