Toilet training toddler with under active bowel

Does anyone have experience of this? My daughter has been on laxatives since she was 6 months old, she is now 3 and we are struggling with toilet training. She is fine with doing a wee in her potty but seems to not know when her poo is coming quick enough to get there.

I’m experiencing the same problem with my 3 year old boy he’s been on laxatives since he was weeks old , he can wee on the potty and toilet but doesn’t know when he’s going to poo so I feel I have to hold him back in nappy’s because of his bowel issues .

Maybe they can’t feel the poo coming in time cause of the laxatives? I’m going to ask for a referral back to the continence team and ask them for advice.
