Type 5 sounds delightful! Hang in there 🙂

At times of being backed up, we 2 capfuls of Miralax( Polyethylene Glycol) daily and keep it up each day until the poo comes, then back it down to one capful per day as maintenance. (Before, we used to have a poo, then stopped the medication, but have learned the hard way he needs it everyday until he can do it on his own, don’t stop, just back down the dose and may take some tweaking of dosage)

We also added senna, started after his vowel blockage was clear. We started with 8.6mg, and the dose that currently works for him is 25mg per day. He learned how to swallow tablets (more on that if you need help with swallowing pills) since he wouldn’t eat the senna chocolates.

Here is the link for Miralax, same product as movicol, but tasteless, odorless and clear.

Is that the same stuff as movicoil. I can't change it as it's from her peadrictians strict guidelines. I just wondered if two caps is two sachets. She has plain and drinks it fine with juice or hot drinks.

The reading I was doing about both. is it seems like you need to use more movicol than Miralax.

I went back through my charts, he did take 4 capfuls of Miralax and it took several days to break apart. At first I thought he had diarrhea so I backed off, it turns out he was just having leaking from around the big poo

I’m sorry I don’t know it it is the same dosing but if movicol is working would stick with it. Miralax is first line of defense in U.S.

I used it bc my boy doesn’t like taste or texture in his drinks 😬

I hope my post makes sense. I didn’t know if she wasn’t drinking enough it works since I think it may be stronger medication

How is it going now? Any luck?🙏🏼

Hi she don't seem to pass a solid soft poo it's like rabbit drops but her tummy has gone down. We're on four sachets everyday she drinks two lites of fluid so peadriticians are happy she going everyday. She have to stay on meds until she ten years old. The senna we've up and is working nicely with movlcoil. She much happier with no pain.hows your littleone now.

I wonder why she’s having little poops? Maybe diet? Happens when we eat lots of veggies and salad in our house 😬

Somewhere along the line in the past week, I think dosing had been off, and had terrible diarrhea two days in row. I backed off yesterday but am inclined to give today as no bowel movement yet today.

How often for practice sitting in the loo? We have been doing as much and getting nowhere. Hugs 🤗

She not toilet train. She wears continence underwear and nappies. Going to drop her down to two sachets tomorrow even though peads has said four but can't see any improvement. Maybe she get a urge to go.where four it just runs out of her still type 7.

Have they tried X-ray to check for stool? I used to be afraid to use bc it would cause diarrhea but there was actually a very large stool ball in the colon. Poo was coming around it. Made it seem like just diarrhea and no progress. But it did end up breaking apart! It was absolutely the worst/best lol

Wishing you luck xoxo
