HELP- ANYONE ELSE GONE/GOING THROUGH THIS??

My 5 year old has never been dry at night and her sister is the same. The doctor told us that until she 7 or above they won't look into it any futher. We have tried bed wetting alarms, lifting etc, nothing has really worked. We used to use bed mats but they didn't really work too good for my girls and we would still have wet beds, so we switched to pull ups.

This has been fine but recently, maybe once a week my eldest will use her pull up on purpose after she gets up. How common is this and what is the best way to go about stopping it?

The biggest problem yet has been that last weekend she didn't just do a wee in it! I tell her off when I notice and encourage her to change out of it as soon as she gets up, but she gets up before me and my husband at weekends, so I can't always catch her as she will pretend it has happened in the night.

Anyone else had any dealings with this? I am worried that her little sister will catch on and start coppying her :O

I hope everyone has a very happy Easter/long weekend. Take care smile x

Some children aren't ready to be dry at night until well passed seven. This is because the hormone that suppresses the production of wee at night isn't developed and they can't help it. Stick with the Pullups and try and ignore it. The poo bit in the morning isn't really acceptable though!
