My 4 year old DD is not yet dry at night and wears Pull ups to bed to aid keeping her sheets dry. Every now and again, maybe once a month she will poo her night nappy. She uses the toilet fine during the day and there is no history of any issues with constipation or soiling during the day.
I have talked to her and asked her why she does it and she just responds with "I don't know". :S
Has anyone else come across this?? I think it might be that she is being lazy and just goes maybe early morning. I think this as when I check her before I go to bed she is always fine.

oh I think u need to give her a lot more credit, a poo accident once a month is unlikely to be because she is lazy & I really wouldn't make a big thing out of it, many parents on here would love to be in your position! as you've said she isn't dry at night yet & if she's not yet waking to wee at night she may also just be too sleepy to know she's pooing, it could also be that she's had something different to eat that day that's changed her timings. the best way forward is to actually start to wean off pull ups, if she has no other problems she is of an age to think about becoming dry at night, just be careful to keep a low key positive approach, I have so many regrets about how frustrated I've got with my kids in the past when they've had accidents.
