We have had a review at the continence clinic and Benjamin is now drinking enough but is possibly constipated. He has been prescribed movicol and senna, which we will have to pick up next week now. He also has an alarm for night time that goes off if he starts to wet. He hates it and wants to wear a nappy again. Is it worth the battle? Will he be dry at night in his own time? He is already 9.
Stage 2: We have had a review at the continence clinic... - ERIC
Stage 2
Update - first night alarm went off 3 times due to sweat. Benjamin said he hates the alarm and doesn't want to wear it. Wore it for two more nights but it fell off and he stayed dry anyway. Now been dry for 5 nights and keeping fingers crossed for more. He has been prescribed movicol and senna but not yet collected - not sure we want him to take them if he stays dry.
How long did they suggest to stay on senna , my little guy has been on it 5 weeks 5mls daily now down to 2.5 , but every time we go to stop it , he struggles with bowel movements !!
He is refusing to take movicol as cannot stand the taste. He has had two night wet accidents but does not want alarm back. Am thinking of adding ground flaxseed to meals I can hide it in to help with constipation.
