Witholding and Movicol advice

Hi there

My son is 3 and half and has been withholding for about 6 months. Not sure how it started. It seems to coincide with toilet training and possibly he became constipated and it took us a while to realise what was going on.

I am still trying to find a maintenance dose and getting him to sit and stay on the toilet at regular times. He had a virus recently and wasn't eating and I stopped giving him the Movicol as I thought that i would let him get better and get his Appetite back and re start it again. I'm not convinced I have done the right thing. His appetite still not back to what it was, but I have restarted the Movicol. He was having one sachet a day. Has anyone got any advice. Should i just of carried on and not stopped.

Thanks
