The article below was published four years ago. Has there been progress in technologies to definitively assess whether nerves have been "spared" and "healing" is taking place following a prostatectomy?

Hmmm. Freudian slip or not? Were the nerves "pared" or "spared"? Mine were spared but ED is still present one year after robotic prostatectomy.

I had da Vinci robotic prostatectomy in June 2017. Nerves spared, but they got extremely close on one side. Dr was able to know where he was while doing surgery from what he explained to me. Started 5mg tadalafil after catheter removed. Tried various things including 20 mg. Currently take 5 mg in morning and 5 more in evening. Long as I take it every day, I get night wood about once a week and can manage somewhat decent erection occasionally. Just not dependable. So use tri-mix injections for sex when I want to be sure. Also much better erection.
