in a 40 yr old male taking 3 methodone and 2 nerve pills a day and i have ed. idk if its the meds or my head. my wife is a sexy 41 yr old lady and ive heard thats when women are wanting sex alot, anyway any input would be great

I am not a doctor or expert in meds, but I can express my opinion. I would think it is the meds. One of the Side effects in methadone.... loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance. Nerve medication will also cause lack of sexual desire.

All meds pretty much have some claims on this. That may have started here and there but I am willing to bet, that if you are like me, your mind is adding to it a lot. I take a lot of various meds due to Lupus and fibromyalgia and many many other issues. I had issues with ED even before my prostate cancer. I also feel that environment is also an issue. We had three almost adult kids and a mother in law living with us so house would be a madhouse at times. We use to go away to a condo once a month when we had the timeshare. I forgot my meds but the atmosphere not only helped the night of arrival after the initial panic that I forgot them but also for breakfast the next day. I now have a prosthetic as the trimix injections stopped working.

Hi - roger2dodger is spot on - any medication like that can have big impact on sexdrive and/or erectile performance , in the mean time - excercise & try not to stress cos that will kill them off more - trust me , look at other ways to be sexual - she can start herself - for example & when you feel the tingle - get in there
