Sorry to hear of your problem, your not alone. Do you know what the problem is have you been diagnosed for ed. Because there are other things out there to help you depends what's going on in your life.
Hi , I had the soft & sharp test & consulted with a doctor - she said - e.d & nerve damage
Like Rob23 said, there are MANY different alternatives in addition to pills: VED, Muse, injections and, last but not least, implants. You can search engine all of these ctegories using the names that I have just described and you will get as much information as you could ever ask. Also, check out Franktalk.org.
Hi , thanks for reply , what is ved & muse?
VED is a Vacuum Erection Device; otherwise known as a penis pump, but medical grade. Mine was $500.00 motorized, but totally covered by insurance. The VED has two purposes: One is for penile rehabilitation; which I personally consider the more important of the two. Pumping for about 15-30 minutes 1 -3 times a day maintains blood flow to the penis, maintains length and keeps the penis healthy. The other purpose is to inflate the penis with blood via the pump and put constricting bands in order to facilitate sexual intercourse. It did not work well for me, but many men have had positive results.
MUSE is a trans-urethral pellet insertion system. You insert pellet into the urethra via an injection device and rub the penis and it gives you an erection for anywhere from 30 to 180 minutes. Once again, many men have had positive results from this system, but it did not work for me. I have a very sensitive urethra and insertion was a bear. Plus,it gave me about 1/3 to 1/2 erection for 20 minutes and it was a painful erection to boot.
These are options to check out. I would DEFINITELY recommend the VED for rehabilitation. I ended up with a penile implant and my urologist pointed out that the VED enabled me to keep my length and make the procedure to insert the implant far easier than if I had scarring due to the lack of maintenance via the VED.
Good luck.
Are the hand pump one any good?
Sure. I ordered the hand pump and they gave me an electrical one. Something with insurance. I don't see any difference. I think they make electrical (battery powered) pumps for those with limited mobility. I could have used either one, but what the hey, they gave me an electrical one so I took it.
Thanks , I will try it , it's supposed to help the nerves & bloodflow isn't it?
Yes! You definitely should use it. It also helps maintain penile length and keeps the penis healthy. Without it your penis would atrophy and "die" without blood flow (which is why one without ED gets nightly erections).
Who makes the VED you use? Can you send a website?
Thank You.
It's a Pos-T-Vac system. I have a hard tim e following who the actual distributor is. You find about five companies involved in the thing. UroMatrix was the rep. The product is a Pos-T-Vac postvac.com/
Start with that.
Thanks for the information. I've tried variations of this style pump. I'm thinking about a water assisted pump. Have you got any experience with water pumps??
No but I heard that they are very good. I prefer the regular ones because, if you are unabashed as I am, use them anywhere. We got to the point where my wife and I would drink our morning coffee on the couch watching the morning news while I was naked pumping. Hey; prostate cancer is pretty crazy . . .
Thanks Charles
How old are you and are you circumcised? I ask because these two factors are relevant when men suffer impotence.
