1 day after my covid isolation ended in Jan 2021 I had my first seizure. (Shaking i was told). Woke up 2 hours later in resus. Second seizure was end of March 2021, woke up the next day on a ward and was told by a nurse that a ct scan showed up a sub arachnoid Haemorrage. Third seizure was 24th april this yesr, woke up several hours later on a ward and was kept in overnight.

What i dont understand is what types of seizures am i having and why is it taking so long to wake up each time.

Since the third episode, I still dont feel right, keep feeling tired and dizzy, also headaches/stabbing pains, feeling of pressure in my ears.

Ct this time didnt show any cause for seizure but stated that my right middle ear has opacification.

Also have feelings of numbness/tingling/trembling down whole body and seems to be originating from back of head/neck.

Recently diagnosed (Feb) with Ulcerative Colitis. Im wondering if there is any connection between Covid, seizures and the Colitis.

Hi

They know that GI (gastrointestinal) diseases can be caused by changes in the gut biome. Ketogenic diet can improve GI conditions. The brain/gut microbiome axis in research correlates GI illnesses with a higher comorbidity of seizure activity. We see that in ASD. There is a new treatment for Colitis called fecal micro biota transplant (FMT). Poo transplant. There is a case of a colitis patient that had epilepsy undergo the procedure and was cured of both conditions
