Briviact! I have been on it for two years! If you have been having the side effects of Keppra - keppra rage - like I used to have - then switch! Since I have been on it, things have been much better. I'm not as tense as I used to be. The worst side effect I seem to be having is being dopey - a thick head and a bit slow. But not wanting to blow up and being angry like I used to under Keppra. Keppra rage is gone. I am able to control myself a lot easier now than I used to under Keppra! Doesn't mean that I am perfect! But when under Keppra, I was not in control! I am defenitely better. I'd much rather be tired than have rage! My experience!

I have only been on Briviact for four months, knowing the side effects of Keppra having been on it before, I decided to use only 50 mg of Briviact, I have had JME for 48 years and so been 'through the system' my request was passed by my specialists, I have side effects of feeling tired but not dopey, my intelligence has become 'sharper' and memory improved, however the 'black clouds of suicidal thoughts' has raised it's nasty symptoms but only slightly, this might be a left-over effects from my previous medication Fycompa, as I am still recovering from some of it's other effects, so am prepared to carefully put up with that? I am overall very encouraged about Briviact!

Unfortunately no I had a double seizure in Jan 2018, in my local health centre, PASSED on from one hospital to another, eventually 8 hours later, came to in Craigavon hospital, driven back to original hospital, Lagan Valley Hospital, a sleep over, then sent home, in July 2021, had severe reaction with AZ Covid vaccination injections, they then said that I had a broken skull with terminal brain damage [from Jan 2018], if I have another seizure will probably be my last. Other than that the Briviact 75 mg and Vimpat 400mg is fine, a bit shaky, but liveable [my left arm usage was badly restricted for three years, from AZ vaccine reactions, then "it's a miracle!"🖐🖐 1st Feb 2024] needless to say Lagan Valley Hospital will NEVER be on my Xmas list!😤😤🙄
