Hi all, I'm new in here so a big warm hello you to you all. I was diagnosed with left temporal lobe at the age of 17. I'm now 51 and have been seizure free for 17 years. I'm now looking to slowly cut back on my medication so if anyone has done that (under GP's supervision of course) then please get in touch.

Hello LadyDJ
and welcome to the group! It’s good to have you here.
I hope you get some responses from our members soon. You usually need to reduce epilepsy medicine very gradually, so it’s good that you’re planning to do it slowly under your GP’s supervision. Sometimes GPs prefer not to get involved in making changes to epilepsy medicine as it’s not their area of expertise. If this is the case for your GP, they should refer you to a neurologist to talk to about reducing your medicine.
I hope you enjoy being part of this group. If you ever want to talk to one of our trained advisers about your epilepsy, please feel free to call the Epilepsy Action Helpline on 0808 800 5050.
Best wishes
Grace
