Been put on decapeptyl and livial and its only been 3days and having terrible side effects. Not sure if changing my diet or anything will help, just looking for anyone who has experienced this for some help and advice. thanks

Hi, I'm on Zoladex and Livial, I find the worst side affects of the zoladex to be restless and sleepless nights, a close second are the hot sweats! For me the Livial has helped loads with hot sweats, and helped my sex drive which had gone completely!

Possibly you may benefit from the Livial in a few more days? I struggled with it at first and even went back to see consultant as I felt it wasn't helping - she said there wasn't anything better she could recommend.

I've been on it 3 months now and feel it does help now. Perhaps give it a bit longer, see how you go?

I hope this helps, everyone is different:)

Hello thanks for replying, Yeah i kinda thought its early days but im getting quite a few side effects and just hoping they will start to settle down. Ive had headaches, rash on my arms and neck, disturbed sleep but no hot flushes yet but my skin feels hot, joint pains and stomach pains. Sorry moaning but no really had the chance to talk about it as no one understands. How long have you to stay on it? Ive been told 6months but check up at 3months to see how things are.

Hi, I've been on it for 5 mths just about due to go back for my last one this week. It's great in stopping my endo symptoms, but I am fed up of some of the side affects now. I have joint pain too, my knees especially. My friend who is a physio checked them over and said she thought it was oesteoarthritis caused by lack of oestrogen.

I've been told 6 mths max too, my worry is that I'm on a waiting list for further surgery (endometrial ablation, removal of adhesions, removal of endo and free up ureters) and the wait is currently 18 weeks! By that time my zoladex will have worn off and I'll be back to pain etc:(

You can moan to me anytime, I totally understand. Hope you're feeling better?
