Hi

Stop worrying :) Bleeding is completely normal. Your body is reacting to and fighting against the Zoladex.

I have a Mirena so don't bleed very much at all these days, but when I have to go on to Zoladex the bleeding increases until it settles down, which it will with you, too.

When did you have the injection?

I had my injection on 11th dec. doctors say it might take two or even three injection to settle. You are right, but did you go on zoladex after mirena.

Yep, I've had endo 20 years, had a Mirena for the past five years, and Zoladex for what seems like forever! I've always had a surge of bleeding at the beginning of the injections, I was just using the Mirena to explain that even when you technically shouldn't be bleeding at all the Zoladex can do weird things :)

Two or three injections sounds about right for it to settle. Try and stick with it for at least two full injection courses (8 weeks) if you can

My first Zoladex injection was in October 2012, I carried on bleeding and had pain until a week after the second injection. Hang on in there, it will kick in. Hope things settle for you soon xx

Hi neal07, don't worry I too have had Zoladex and bleed for the first two months then the bleeding stopped. I had six of the injections and found that it took a while for my monthly's to return. The only draw back was I suffered with the hot flushes associated with the meanapause, but that soon went when my periods returned. Hang on in there and give your body chance to adjust. If you are having problems with the injection you could also talk to your Doctor's about having Prostap. This is a kinder needle and symptom's of the menapause is a lot less, well it was for me. Keep your chin up xx

Hi neal07 sorry I haven't responded to you before now. Never guess I am in hospital. Collapsed on the second day of my monthly whilst out shopping. They are giving me some blood as my iron count is very low due to me heavy period. Hospitals aren't the most brilliant places to rest and again I can't sleep.

In answer to your question my period stopped in the fourth month however I noticed even from the first month of having the injection I noticed that the bleeding was getting less and continued to do so until it stopped. Sorry again for not replying. Take Care x

I am so sorry to hear this. I feel so guilty of disturbing you on hours of rest. Take care of yourself. Yah I took my injection yesterday,2nd month started bleeding today. My GP told me you can bleed on second month too. It is an anxious wait for it to stop completely. As you told u bled four months on zoladex. Was it one time or any time of month like me.

How are you now? Spinach and red meat are a good source of iron. Right now I need it as well. I am second month of injection,zoladex..bt still bleeding. You take care.

Hi Neal07 sorry again I haven't replied before now. Was quite poorly and only just been allowed home. Spinach and red meat will try that, Dr's have sent me home with Iron tablets.

During the four months I bled on Zoladex, the first month was becuase they gave it to me in the hospital the day of my opperation, it wasn't in time to stop my monthly, cycles for the second and fourth month were normal came every 23 days, however the third month for some reason I seemed to bleed every couple of days or so on and off. Although I must admit the pain was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Don't feel guilty at all, I am just sorry that I wasn't able to respond sooner to you, I know how worrying this condition is and the medication we are told to try can have side effects which worry us also.

I really hope everything settles down for you hun and that you start to feel some relief soon.

take care xx

Thanks, yah my second month is starting from tomorrow...but I am still bleeding. My doctor said some women bleed on the second month too. My first month was heavy and rest breakthrough bleeding anytime. I stated to bleed on my second month today. I don't know how long will it last. How was your second month? I am keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe one day it will settle....it might show an improvement with the third injection.
