HI all

I am having my third lap on the 4th Jan, even though i am in pain from both ovaries constantly, tired and my periods still last longer than 7 days i am worried that they will not see anything and this pain will never get better. I know that my last op they removed a chocolate cyst and removed a lot of endo, but i cant stop worrying?

Hey!

All your fears are totally normal :) Every person on here who has expereinced the lap proceedure i'm sure will tell you they all felt the same. I have had 2 laps, my first was diagnostic, for weeks I was convinced they wouldnt find anything and even convinced myself i was a hypochondriac. On the day i thought i will come round from the anaesthetic and they will laugh at me, tell me to man up and to stop wasting the NHS's money. I couldnt have been more wrong, i was diagnosed with stage 4 endo. I hope and pray that this wont be the case for you however if they have removed endo before then the chances of it being there again are high.

I'd like to say please dont worry too much but i believe it is only natural to be concerned when living in pain and discomfort is the most unnatural thing for life. you want answers and to fear not getting any is totally normal :)

Good luck with the lap, be sure to let us all know how you get on :) I will have my fingers crossed for you that they can diagnose and treat.

xx

Sometimes it's the hospitals fault for making people feel as if they are over exadurating about their pains. My surgeon told me he wouldnt find anything, and that i was over reacting, and i then convinced myself that there would be nothing wrong, and started to doubt myself. I was also diagnosed with endo, and got an apology from the surgeon! You know that any pain is not normal, and that if you are having surgery chances are the surgeon will find something and then all that worrying would've been for the right reasons! Good luck! xxx
