I have been put on Zoladex and HRT for a possible Gynae problem to see if it works as some of my symptoms do not consist with Endo or so my Consultant says. Although reading the the posts it does to me sound like Endo. Would like to put my symptoms down and see what you all think. My symptoms change depending where i am in my monthly cycle which from when i finish to when I start 21 days between. Today which is a couple of days before due to start pain in lower pelvic area both sides and pain in left hip, sounds strange but pain is worse when i am sitting or laying down. Now a brief run through of other symptoms i have experienced
PAIN CAN BE EITHER SIDE LOWER UPPER MIDDLE
HIP PAIN
SHOULDER AND BACK PAIN
FREQUENT URINATION
TOILET CHANGES CONSTIPATED THEN DIARHEA SOMETIMES GO 6 TIMES A DAY FOR NUMBER 2
WAKE UP MANY TIMES IN NIGHT SO VERY LETHARGIC
BLEED BETWEEN PERIODS
DISCHARGE DARK BROWN AND CLOTS
STOMACH GURGLING BLOATING WIND
TENDER ROUND BELLY
Symptoms change of the course of the month.
Went to see consultant yesterday after waiting 6 weeks and had to be signed off work because of the pain and he did mention Endo and going to give Zoladex and HRT a try so fingers crossed. Should get my first injection next week. Has anyone had the same. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Also 2 years ago i had a dermoid cyst removed.
I also have Gastritis Duodenitis .

Sounds like you have really been going through it. I have severe Endo and your list of symptoms are almost identical to mine, and as you say, these change/vary throughtout the month. My Endo was diagnosed during a lap so I know for sure that my symptoms are Endo, and I think there's probably some IBS involved as well. Unfortunately the only way to get a definite diagnosis of endo is to have a lap - the doctors have to actually go in and have a look to know for sure and how severe it is etc.
Although your symptoms sound like it could very possibly be Endo I'm not sure how much of them could be a result of your other conditions and unfortunately gynae symptoms have a habit of mimicking several different things! The fact that your gynae has recommended the injections definitely indicates that they think it could be Endo, however dont get disheartened if you believe it's Endo but the injections don't work as they don't work for everyone and if and until you have a lap there's no way of definitely knowing for sure.
Hope the injections do work for you and give you a bit of a break
Thank you for your response. My doctor thought i should have an exploritory op but the consultant yesterday gave me 3 choices The coil, depro something or other or Zoladex with HRT, I am unsure why they wont just go and have a look first off. I am hoping the Zoladex works do you know what happens if it does do they suggest a Hysterectomy i know from reading through the posts you can stay on Zoladex for 6 months, and what happens if it doesnt work. Also worried about side effects. Doctors on Monday for another sick note and to discuss what has happened with consultant.
