Is this really true? or could my pain still be endo related?
Lots of people seem to be told this by their gynae and I have read its not true. Does anyone know the answer please?

the Prostap doesnt not help the Endo, it just stop the bleeding and causing more damage for Endo... it just help not having period but if you are having pains then see the GP and refer to Pains Clinic... hope it helps
As Tinker says it just stops the bleeding, you pain could be caused by scarring caused by endo for example x
No this is not true.
In general, if your periods stop the endo should stop growing - although not always the case for everyone. If your periods have contined while on Prostap which happened to me, the endo can still grow.
Even if you dont have any periods anymore, as Missteal said, the scarring and adhesions remain and can cause extreme pain.
Hi,
Ive been on prostap since april after excision of endo. I am about 70 - 80% pain free but it was not untill around the end of may that I started feeling a noticeable difference.
I seen my consultant in July and he said it will take time for the pain to go completely probably around 6 months but if it doesnt it is most likely scar tissue left behind from the endo and the op. When it was first recommended he said that it can help to shrink any endo that may remain but mostly stop any more growing.
Hope this helps and you feel better soon
Keep smiling xx
