Hi I'm Laura ,Im a 40 year old mother of one very healthy but currently moody teenage boy! 👦 ) who I completely adore.💙
I've recently been diagnosed with AEH following some investigative procedures and have been advised on having a hysterectomy.Im scared because I really want to keep my fertility to try for another child as I'm very aware my window of time for that is swiftly closing.Im worried also though that if I don't have the op things could become cancerous. I feel like im in no man's land at the moment ,not knowing which direction to go in. Has anyone been in this position for ?If so I would welcome any support or advice.
Sending my best wishes to fellow sufferers out there ❤️ 🙏

I am 50 so when faced with a similar decision it was a no brainier for me. I really cannot offer any guidance as to what to do, but for me, the risk of cancer was my biggest fear (I’d watched many family members suffer horribly from it before passing away). This family history of cancer was my deciding factor- I really didn’t want surgery as after my diagnostic lap I felt terrible. Now, 8 weeks after a total hysterectomy I’m starting to feel better/ no more endo pain and no more heavy periods.
Sending you my best wishes at this bewildering time, 🌺
Thank you so much for your support and it's great to hear your story too.Im terribly sorry you've lost a lot of your family members to Cancer.I too have lost many of my family members to Cancer ,be it many different ones.It really helps me to think of things from your prospective too. However with all that being saifd I really want another child and I've waited so many years to have one as the timing was never right or the finances weren't there and now I have this horrible condition I'm faced with such a big dilemma. I want to hold out and see what the gynae team have to say first I think before I make that decision but a massive well done to you for shoeing immense courage in what must have been a terrible time. And I'm truly glad that you now have no issues with pain from the endo.Thank you so much for sharing with me and I really do wish you all the best 🩷
