Has anyone had a bad experience with Duloxetine?

Been using cocodamol for the past few months, but the GI Dr wanted me to start 60mg Duloxetine. Thankfully when my GP prescribed it she said she'd recommend starting at 30mg and just seeing how I get on first then going up to the higher dose. Took the first one last night and I feel AWFUL. Woke up with blurry vision which is coming and going, I'm sweating, feel sick, can't even look at food, feel very spaced out, can't focus and feel quite restless. Has anyone else had the same? And did you continue with it? Is taking just one tablet even enough to elicit a response like this or am I just crazy 🤣

I want to stop it now but not sure whether to keep trying to see if helps my pain or just go back on amitriptyline again. The GP did warn me there would be side effects with the Duloxetine, but also got told that when I started amitriptyline and didn't have any side effects with that. So wasn't expecting such a huge difference with this

I’m on Duloxetine and don’t remember experiencing that! It could just be that the medication was a shock to your system

I’m also on duloxetine, I have to say I can’t remember having these symptoms. Having said that, I get nauseous and sweaty and depressed anyway as I’m having to come off hrt the same time.

I would give it another week if you feel your able , and if it doesn’t decrease, go back to you gp.
