I’m looking at seeing a surgeon here in the UK and wondered if anyone had any experience with either of the doctors listed above?

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to name any surgeons or healthcare professionals on here (good or bad) - I would suggest visiting this facebook group: healthunlocked.com/redirect... which you can ask this question and will most likely get multiple answers from people who have been treated by them 🥰

I was diagnosed then treated by Thompson in Worcestershire before it became a bgse. He’s friendly compassionate understanding and very good at his job.

Bethleah please could you share more about your experience with Thomson? Did he excise your endo and was it successful?

the first time he did a lap and confirmed stage 4 endo and drained an abscess on my ovary. I had 6 months of zolodex then a further op where he excised as much as he could and took out my left fallopian tube. He did as much as he could but had to refer me to a bgse as I was a complex case I was beyond his skill level at that time. He’s since skilled up and got Worcester bgse accredited.

Bethleah how long ago was this when you had the op with him? Who did he refer you to at the time?

2008. Then 2009. He referred me to Oxford but they then suspended all their complex endo surgeries. I never found out why. So he hereafter me to Wolverhampton . I know of others that have been treated by Thompson and it’s all be positive

I still have symptoms pain was never the worst one. My last mri showed I was clear of endo but it’s was unclear if my left ovary uterus and bowel were still mangled. The scarring is still there I think. Don’t believe that has magically healed. Because it was clear of endo I’m no longer seeing anyone for it. Just have to live with it and now with added menopause symptoms. With no help from nhs like everyone else.
