I have my appointment coming up with the colorectal surgeon this week, following referral from gynecology. I've been put on a surgical list for an endo shave, depending on what the colorectal surgeon says. There's the possibility I will have to have resection of the bowel as my Endo has penetrated my bowel.
Does anyone have any advice to help me prepare for my appointment. I am a little nervous, as my symptoms have worsened over the last 6 months even though I'm on prostab.
Thank you

Hi, my first (& so far only) appointment with colorectal was basically just a long talk about my symptoms & history. So just make sure you're prepared with a symptom diary, i.e. what your symptoms are, how often they are, how severe they are, when they first started, when they started to get worse, what you've tried to help (like fodmap diet, exclusion diet), what medication you've tried/are on, anything that helps/makes them worse. They might want to do further tests but this is unlikely to be in the same appointment - I'm having to wait for mine. They might discuss benefits & risks of the surgery, so write down any questions you'd like to ask. Good luck & hope that helps 🤞
