Endo in Csection scar

Hi all,

I've finally been put onto the waiting list for surgery!! I could not be happier, it's been a long fight to finally get this cut out of me..

I live in pain, some days mild others I can't even walk. A lump formed deep inside my lower right tummy just behind my csection scar on the right. This lump is what radiates the pain. On CT 2 years ago, it showed up as scarring on rectus abdominis, and no action was taken, I was even told this scan was fine! As symptoms got worse, I was sent for a scan, thankfully other things showed in there and I was reffered to gynecologist, sadly nothing in the lump area appeared on scan. Tbf it was quite small then and I am a larger lady. Anyway, cut long story short, my gynecologist put me on watch and wait and I was invited back a couple days ago (almost a year later). A few months ago, I went my GP almost in tears because my quality of life is so bad, I'm 31 and can't do much because of the pain, I don't even have any pain treatment plan, and still don't. Thankfully my nurse felt so sorry for me and requested a scan ready to show my gyne and thanks to her, my scan showed cystic scar tissue and few other things. So at my appointment, because of the scan and that they could feel it was larger, they've put me on a list to get it removed, have a looked around to see if there is anything more and send for histology. They believe it is endometriosis as I match everything, however scar endometriosis is apprantly so very rare.

So my questions really are, I have no idea what type of surgery I will be given if its in my old csection scar. Is there anyone here who have had it here? What surgery can I expect? Also, how can I prepare for surgery? And I'm really scared of being put to sleep, is it quick?

I was advised I could be waiting a year for surgery, so plenty time to prepare, but, I'd now it's confirmed I'd like to find out more.
