I am 25 and not currently trying to conceive I am on implant and combined pill because my pain is so severe. I would need an operation beforehand to reduce pain before even thinking of starting. I am currently looking for work to start saving. I have been with my partner for 10 years this month and am thinking about the near future. Because my body hurts so so much especially around my pelvis, dodgy bowels and hurts to pee at times I worry that this is a reflection on my fertility. I was diagnosed with early stage 3 when I was 19 the very blurry black and white photos did not show a lot. However I apparently had it in my POD. Each time I am flaring I get quite down thinking because my fertility has not been tried or tested so I have no idea.
Does pain reflect fertility?
Any stories or if anyone feels the same way please let me know.

You probably shouldn't be on the combined pill, it can make endo grow more the progesterone only pill is much safer as regards endo regrowth. If you had endo in POD it might be more than stage 3, I would try getting an up to date scan and a second opinion. I don't think that the amount of pain and fertility are linked at all. It is often the tubes that can damage fertility and your surgeon should have checked then at your last op. They normally do some type of test to check they aren't blocked I have very severe endo, stage 4 through bowel etc and my tubes were completely clear. I can't have children but this is because of my age, as you are still very young you should have a great chance. Your eggs should be in tip top condition at your age. Go to see a different gyne get a scan and ask the gyane what they think, only a specilist can tell you anything useful. They might say you need another excision first but I would say go for it and try, if you are pregnant the pain might stop while you are pregnant anyway. Lots and lot sof people have terrible endo and are able to get pregnant so don't feel disheartened but do cahnge your doc, it sounds like you need better advice. Good Luck xx
Thank you for your story! i am having an ultrasound soon due to them thinking it may be a cyst (endometrioma) causing me issues the past few months. Sadly in Wales the healthboard won't let me see the specialist down in Cardiff on the NHS. I think it works different in other parts of UK. Thank you for the reassurance I really appreiate your messege. Best wishes to you!! xx
I’ve just had a confirmed diagnoses of stage 4 endo (had symptoms for years and years)
I came off the pill and yes i did have to go through awful pain for about a year but we managed to conceive naturally. I used ovulation sticks which really helped plan. my symptoms after having the baby were so awful. Just had surgery myself and hoping to try for a second baby.
