Hiya. New and undiagnosed.I had an ectopic pregnancy back in October 2023, on the scan it showed dermoid cysts... i have had numerous scans since as the pain hadn't gone away, Extremely painful on the right and down my leg.

In my notes it very technical, if anyone can shed any light or anything atall please do as i haven't even been able to speak to a doctor atall since i was told i had an ectopic.

My notes show

A large lesion within the left adnexa measuring 80 x 39 x 57mm with a 57mm solid component which contains fine internal striations?dermoid, and a 41mm well-defined cystic component with

difuse low level internal echoes, ?endometrioma/?haemorrhagic cyst.

No vascularity demonstrated on doppler. The left ovary cannot be seen

separate to this.

The right ovary has a volume of 13ml and contains a collapsing corpus

luteum.

There is a trace of free fluid in the pouch of Douglas.

Thats copied and pasted.... hopefully someone can help. I have more recent notes in which i believe it has grown or the notes may be more detailed.

Hi Clare,

So reading this it sounds like you might have either an endometrioma or a haemorraghic cyst on your left ovary. It can be difficult to tell which is which on an ultrasound scan. If an endometrioma is present it usually suggests there is endometriosis elsewhere also. Have you had a pelvic MRI? It may be worth pushing for an MRI and possibly a laparoscopy.

Good luck :)

Hiya. Thanks, no i haven't had anything other than normal ultrasounds and blood tests. Ive been waiting 6 weeks now for confirmation from the consultant on my last scan which i was told 4 weeks, also been to the gp who is insisting i have physio for the pain and go back onto the contraceptive pill🙈 i feel like these people aren't trained enough to be dealing with it and are just trying to fob me off. I will ring them monday morning and push pelvic mri. I need to find someone who is more knowledgeable within the hospital as i still haven't spoken to anyone from the hospital regarding what is going on in my body.
