Yesterday had a lap and hysteroscopy all clear just wondering if anyone has got anywhere from this situation? Thinking pelvic physio, has anyone tried for chronic pelvic pain? This is what I think I have... Haven't had sex in over 6 months if I do I will be in pain and peeing continually for a week after!
They had put me on meds that made me suicidal for the last 4 yrs telling me that if I stopped then it would be worse as it was endo. Despite me pushing to check for other things. Off meds I had 7 months of continuous bleeding to the point I could barely walk and unable to work.
Cba with going back to the GP as I have exhausted all options so I will be back to there original diagnosis of just being anxious...
I had a hysteroscopy and it didn’t show my endo. Then I did MRI and it showed everything! I do recommend you to do MRI, I think it’s the best way to get diagnosed.
Was this laparoscopy done by an endo specialist? I’ve had 2 laps and the first was with general gynae who missed the endo and didn’t diagnose me, so I kept pushing for answers, was sent for an MRI which showed endo on my uterosacral ligaments and adenomyosis, so I then had another lap with an endo specialist and they found stage 3 endo in multiple areas. Sometimes general gynaecologists can miss it.
I’m sorry you’re going through this, it can be disheartening. I hope you get answers soon x
I’m so sorry to hear that you are going through that. I would recommend the route of an MRI. Primary Care (GP) isn’t able to authorise an MRI (at least that’s what that found out when they tried to organise mine), so I would suggest an Endo Specialist. I decided to go private and saw one within a week (this past Wednesday) and I have my MRI scheduled for this Wednesday. I’m unsure of your financial situation but if it’s possible I would say to Google Endometriosis Centres and research one and the Specialist beforehand to check they are legit (that they don’t just ‘have an interest’ in Endo) and enquire how much it will be. Mine was £190 for initial consultation. The cost of my MRI will be £849 (with contrast) available to pay in instalments and then £160 for follow up consultation to discuss results and build a plan. I have had many ultrasounds, a laparoscopy and a CT. All showed nothing and I was told to ‘park Endo’. Hearing that didn’t sit right with me. My recent consultant says it’s very likely I do have Endo and that it’s important that scans are both conducted and reviewed my people that know what they are looking for. He said that those who don’t specialise in Endo usually miss it even during a laparoscopy as it can appear in many different forms.
Don’t give up fighting. Make sure you communicate with your friends/family/SO so that they can support you also. And this forum is here if you need to vent or to share updates we have to stay strong and not give up.
