I am now waiting a full hysterectomy (at 30) due to no other treatment for my stage 4 endometriosis. I have had 2 surgery’s but it keeps coming back.
I had an MRI to see how bad it has spread and have now got to have an appointment with urologist after my MRI, does anyone know what the MRI may have shown for an appointment with both my gynaecologist and a urologist?
Thanks so much

Hi really sorry to hear how badly you're affected and how young. Urology is urinary so that area eg bladder....sounds like it could be similar to me. MRI couple of months ago showed endo in bowels and possibly bladder. I'm being referred to endo specialist having only dealt with a gynaecologist before. Is it possible to ask your gynae? I would have thought they ought to have given an indication to you once they had your MRI results....very frustrating/confusing 😕
My Gynae has been appalling recently. I had my MRI back 4th October and I still havnt had any results. It’s only because I have called repeatedly that the PA has told me that they are waiting for urology as they have to be in the next appointment.
I had both bowel and bladder specialists involved before due to it being on both but they never came to any appointments before the operation.
As far as I know MRI and laparoscopy are the most appropriate techniques to diagnose Endometriosis. I got diagnosed with endo stage 4 by MRI and it showed how endo spreads to my organs including ovaries, heaps, rectum and bowel.
Thank you, yes I am already diagnosed as stage 4 endometriosis I have had surgeries to remove in the past and have already had one of my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed due to damage. Due to how quickly it comes back I am not waiting for a full hysterectomy, I just wanted to see if anyone else had any experience of having an appointment with both gynaecologist and urologist before the operation.
