Hello! Incase anybody is following my posts, I received a second letter threatening to take me off the gynaecology lists after I confirmed I wanted to stay on it. I emailed a formal complain to hospital area and received 2 phonecalls which I missed as I was at work and then I got a very lengthy emailed apology explaining I was the first to raise the several issues with the letter, the Christmas closures, the phone number issues, and the lack of communication between the departments involved. They are now aware of the phone line problem and have added a second direct line, and they have re worded the letter to include Christmas holiday 'grace periods' AND they've asked gynaecology to report any other patients to them who have phoned directly to gynaecology who could not get through to records department. But today's issue- I'm looking at buying a text book called Endometriosis Pathogenesis, Clinical Impact and Management Volume 9 Frontiers in Gynaecology and endocrinology. It's at 2021 copyright and it won't contain any of the studies or information from the British Medical Journal or the Lancett for Covid (which is when my endo was no longer under control).

I don't know when any textbooks will become available with that collated information. It's more the endocrinology I'm really needing as the gynae said in 2021 they have absaloutely no idea how intercourse affects the hormones that were causing me untold misery. I feel that this book would help me understand alot more than the BS I've been told at hospital.

I'm not looking for diet and lifestyle books. It's the information that the Dr's get that I want.

Has anybody got a more up to date book on the pathogenesis and Endocrinology or has anybody actually read this one? It's £80 to buy a hard copy. I don't do E books.

I hope everyone is as well as they can be!

Hi

Have you asked GP to refer you to and endocrinologist? I’ve always felt they should be more involved with Endo but it gets left to Gynae. Research gate might have papers of interest.

Thanks moon maiden. No I didn't know I could ask to go to an endocrinologist. It would really have made sense to have been referred there when everything was really so bad. I'll have a look at research gate. I've never heard of it.

All the best.
