Hi,

I had a laparoscopy last week with gynae and gastro surgeon.

The plan was to look at my endo and large ovarian cyst.

However they found my pelvis is covered in scar tissue from a bowel operation I had 15 years ago. They couldn’t get to anything as it’s all stuck together and covered by scar tissue.

Has anyone had anything similar?

Thanks

is the scar tissue from the surgery or endometriosis? I have stage four endometriosis and have a glued pelvis… I.e. everything suck together. I have done 2 laparoscopies to remove scar tissue and endometriosis nodules. I have been advised that I need a third surgery (after nine years), but was told if they remove the massive bowel module, it would likely require bowel resection and me wearing a stoma, I chose to hold off for that reason. Did the surgeon confirm whether they didn’t remove the scar tissue due to them having to potentially damaging parts of your organs or because they didn’t have the skills to do it? My first laparoscopy was the latter, they went in and didn’t wanna remove the endo because it was complex and then subsequently referred me to a specialist endometriosis hospital for the surgery.

Hi, I had a bowel operation and resection with temp stoma for 6 months when I was 25 (15 years ago). Their saying the scar tissue is on my bowel and it’s covering all my pelvis. That was for Crohn’s disease.

I then also have endo with two ovarian cysts ones 11cm and frozen pelvis.

When they did the lap they said they couldn’t see anything as the scar tissue was covering all my pelvis.

I need a further op to remove the scar tissue then remove the cysts. They didn’t do that in the lap as they say it needs further planning.

You sound like you’ve been through it too? How are you now? How do you manage your pain?

Thanks for replying ❤️
