Hi,Just read your post. I totally appreciate how you feel I'm on a 2 Yr waiting list for a laproscopy. I would be interested to see if anyone has any information regarding treatment abroad too. Considering going private but the financial part puts me off. take care of yourself

hi I just read your post

I has a lap private as I couldn’t wait any longer. I just moved to a new area and the only gynaecologist I could find was useless. I paid nearly 4K for nothing. My endometriosis is in the bowels but they just wanted to check the womb and ovaries. Absolute waste of money 💰 😥😥

Keep putting pressure on your gp. Get signed off sick if you need to. I work for the nhs. And it’s a myth about lists. They don’t exist. The person who gets seen is the one that complains the most. Good luck xx

Hello, thanks for your reply. I'm so sorry you haven't had a positive outcome. Today I have rang the hospital in Glasgow and have been told they are now doing routine surgery, after this being on hold. They are dealing with the backlog and working through 2021 waiting list. Being referred in Aug 22, I have a wait. However, I was told it may be a Yr now. I think as long as I can control the pain I will wait and go through the NHS. My Dr rang my gynae consultant, who told my Dr that he has no control over the waiting list. TBH I don't have alot of faith in him. I've had 3 appt with him. 1 on a screen, 2 on a screen only I could see him not vise versa, 3 in person. Everytime he asks me question like how many children do I have. I don't, as obviously I can't have them. I don't think he reads his notes. I'm not sure if I can change to another gynae as he is the only one who comes to our hospital, also don't know if this would delay the laproscopy if I went to another consultant. Did wonder about going for a private consultantation, don't know if they have any access to the NHS list. It's all just the unknown. Very frustrating

sounds like you have the same problems as me. Nobody else gets it. Even if you do see someone, they don’t have the answer. They just poke around at your bits. Give you tablets or zoladex injections and think that’s the cure. I suffer with really bad fatigue and that makes me mad as I use to love going out socially. I’m locked in a battle with the matrons at the hospital I work at as I need to reduce my hours. They are stubborn buggers and probably wished I just quit. Good luck with the doctors. Don’t bother going private as they are just nhs doctors anyway. Keep ringing them to see you. Take care xxx

Hi so sorry to hear you're going through this. I was in the same position a year ago, going to A&E for haemorrhaging due to fibroids/Adeno/Endo, I was put on Zoladex injections which didn't stop the bleeding but eased the pain. 5 months ago I had a total hysterectomy (privately) because I couldn't wait any longer on the NHS. I hope you get some resolution it's disgusting women are in this situation. Best of luck with it x

Hi, I went to Prague for surgery, there is a profesor and especialist for adenomyosis, pelvic area. He changed my life, no pain after 7 years of miserable life. I would recommend him to anyone. He's a top guy in this field. Nobody helped me in uk or Spain. But he did and saved my uterus as well, everyone wanted to do hysterectomy to me but he said he can save it because I want kids.

Prof. Dr. Michal Mara Csc. , he works private in Prague 1, and also works in University hospital, where he does the surgeries and also is the main surgeon in endoscopy. Fibriods, adenomyosis, endometriosis are his main thing. You can contact him on myomy@myomy.cz

He does speak English, his website is in czech tho.

I had laporotomy because my adenomyosis was so huge, my uterus was 500g and should be 70g so that could not be done by laporoscopy but as I said he saved it, and I promise you i have no pain after 7 years, I went to so many doctors, nobody helped me, and also he's very kind and human. Always replied to all my emails, explained everything to smallest detail. I feel healthy after very long time, I'm so grateful to him.

Hope that helps 😊
