laparoscopy and ultrasound

Hello,

I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy 4 weeks ago. I have two questions really, how long should I expect to wait to here from consultant? I was told I would have it in writing what they found. Consultant did come and see me just as I came round but I can’t remember what she said. Also, last week I was asked to go for an ultrasound, I explained that I had just had a laparoscopy and they said they would ask the consultant whether I still needed one. Today I had a letter for an ultrasound in two weeks. What would be the reason for having an ultrasound after only recently having the laparoscopy?

Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi,

I had a laparoscopy last week & was advised to go for a Urogram as my left ureter was a bit pale during surgery.

Do you have the mft app? If you do, that may give you additional notes.

I was given a discharge letter from hospital and that mentioned the urogram. Did you receive a discharge letter?

I was told my post op appointment would be in 6 weeks.

I had my lap 5 weeks ago and have my follow up in April. Your GP should have a copy of what they found. It's a poor system that they just tell you what they found when you are coming round from anesthetic but you still should have something in writing and be informed why you are having this additional scan. Is it worth phoning the gynae dep at the hospital ? Hope you get some answers soon x
