Surgery number 6 next week...also why would the uterus wall be abnormal?

Hello everyone hope you're all OK, so my heads in a bit of a pickle, I need to vent it out, so here where people understand I thought would be the place too...

So I have an ileostomy which was done last June and the surgery never gave me a proper follow up or even information on what he found during the surgery apart from endometriosis in the small bowel...

Anyway fast forward to today, I went too see the anesthetist ready for surgery next Tuesday and we were looking on my previous notes and she found the ileostomy surgery notes. Now she told me 2 things the rest I couldn't see/ she didn't tell me apparently she didnt know what it meant...

1. abnormal uterus wall

2. Brown Fluid in the pelvis

Then confirmation of the endometriosis in the small bowel from the labs.

Now my question was why wouldn't my bowel surgeon whos in my next op not tell me any of this?? I feel like they are hiding things from me...my partner was like oh don't think about it/read too much into it and it's like how can I not?! I'm finding out things I didn't even know 😮‍💨😟

It depends on where the abnormality in the uterus wall is. If it's the junctional zone that would indicate adenomyosis, which is endo in the muscle of the uterus.

Brown fluid in the pelvis might be retrograde menstruation if you were on your period at the time or had recently had it. But to be honest I don't know how long it can hang around. Brown just means it's old blood. Ultimately there's no way of knowing what it was if there isn't an opinion on your lap report.

I assume you are in a specialist endo centre.
