Hi, I wanted to know if anyone else has this experience with birth control So I had the coil fitted back last year I bled for a month then for a few months I spotted a lot but the pain was less. Then slowly but surly I started bleeding more heavy and the pain came back, I had it removed
I started with the Depo and again couple of months spotting and less pain then surly I've started bleeding more heavy and the pain has increased.
Has anyone else had an experience like this? Like you only get relief for a few months and things go back to how they were?

Hi Giraffegreen , I am sorry that you have being going through this. I have experienced short and long term relief from various treatments over the years and it is a bit of a roulette as to what works, when and for how long.
So in answer to your question, yes, I have experienced having none or some relief and it then going back to bad pain. I just keep on keeping on, as no matter what nothing stays the same, good or bad.
This happens to me too! It drives me crazy. Currently taking two of the pill a day to try and stop bleeding but it’s not really working. I don’t know what the answer is but you are not alone ☺️ !
I tried depo injection and bleed very badly with severe pain for 3 months. Then tried mirena twice - once in 20s before kids and once in 30s after kids - was Hell- so much pain bleeding and terrible depression. Apparently Mirena coils are Very contraindicated in depression and can cause suicidal responses!
I've found Every hormonal contraceptive causes bad side effects and now on progesterone only pill and still suffering but its the least bad out of the all!
I've read all synthetic hormones cause issues and need to be accompanied by natural ones. If you can access a decent gynaecologist you may have a chance - where I'm from its years on a waiting list then a hurried Dr saying gave major surgery - no other help available.
If I win lottery the 1st thing I'll do is see a decent gynaecologist!
