Pain & Endo

I have been diagnosed with mild - moderate endometriosis 2 years ago and recently I think my symptoms have gotten worse.

Can I ask what are the common symptoms you all feel? Does anyone have aching lower back and side pain paired with nausea spells?

Currently waiting to see a GP/consultant but that’ll take weeks so I thought I would ask you all to see if what I’m feeling is normal :(

hi yes I used to get an aching lower back but not the nausea. I only have mild endometriosis but it has caused lots of scar tissue (adhesions) my pain was mainly around ovulation and before I had my son who is 19 I did get very painful heavy periods. Last year at the age of 50 I had my ovaries removed so now I am in a surgical menopause. Sorry you are suffering and I hope you get on well at you appointment x

thanks for replying! Just I have been experiencing aching side pain like from lower back coming round to right side and it’s making me miserable. Not sure if others had the side pains?

Upon diagnosis they fitted me with an IUD whilst this has helped the bleeding and some pain I’m still not fully normal :(

I have to say I do suffer similar to what you have said, especially during a flare up it runs through my back and sometimes down my legs too. The nausea is a recent and new symptom for me too so I understand how you feel.Sorry you're going through this - sending love and strength.

Before my surgery I had heavy periods, and cramps. I had left hip pain which was getting gradually worse. It ached like I couldn't get comfortable. This was also in my back and my left leg would ache. I had tenderness in my bladder area days after a period had ended. Constipation and occasional pain going for a poo. I'd also get stabbing and pulling in my left ovary area and groin. This all improved after lap when a cyst was taken off left ovary and they were detached from the rectum. 🤦‍♀️ he also removed endo from my bladder wall. Unfortunately I'm stage 4 so still have some discomfort but luckily it's manageable.

Hi starry, thanks for replying and sharing those details it has made me feel a lot less crazy! The pain in my side and leg is a new one so I’m now concerned I have either fibroids or a cyst along with endo! I do have a lot of the symptoms you have mentioned esp the constipation and tender bladder. At times it feels like a uti but it isn’t if that makes sense?

So frustrating for us women, I’m sorry to hear you are stage 4 but I feel positive knowing the pain can be managed

X

I’m pretty lucky I don’t really have any debilitating pain even though my insides say otherwise lol. I hope you get sorted!
