Hi!! I’m on a 6 month course of zoladex injections and last week had my 4th.
I’ve noticed this particular time the injection site was very itchy and this evening I’ve noticed a pellet shaped lump under my skin!! It’s very red and very itchy! It’s almost like the pellet is being rejected and pushed up under the skin. Has anyone else experienced this!
thanks 😊

I would get that checked by the nurse/doctor who administered it as it sounds like it might be infected. I could always feel my implants under the skin, so I wouldn't necessarily assume it's being pushed out.
thank you for replying. Yes I’m going to call the doctors today. I’ve had 4 so far and have never been able to feel the implant under my skin before. Was worried maybe it hadn’t been injected correctly. Have you always been able to feel yours and see it raised under the skin ?
I could always feel them but only usually see them just after injection before the body started dealing with it, it was usually a blue line just under the skin on my stomach. But if you have swelling from a potential infection, then the inflammation itself could be pushing the implant up. Fingers crossed it's nothing more serious 🤞
Hope it is ok. When I had the injections, I could pretty much always feel the pellets under my skin and most months they would be itchy and a bit red. I was told not to worry and that it was because I am was slim and didn’t have much fat around my stomach! They also said that they needed to inject in slightly different areas each time. Some nurses were a bit better with their injection technique and that made a difference as to where the pellet settled.
thank you for your reply. The redness and itchy has gone but comes back everytime i have a hot bath! My doctor has said I don’t have much fat on my stomach either and that’s why it hurts me when I have the injection. I’ve never noticed the pellet before so maybe it’s just the angle it’s been injected into.
