Travelling with endo and Pregabalin medication

Hi everyone, I'm in a huge panic and hoping someone can help. I'm going to be travelling for 7 months in latin america soon, and when I last spoke to my GP I was advised I would be able to get a bulk prescription of my pregabalin and to get in touch closer to the time.

However on calling today the receptionist has advised I can only get 3 months max, and wasn't able to advise how I'd manage when I'm away when it runs out. Only to register at a new GP out there - but I'm going to be moving

I'm going to try and get a doctors appointment this afternoon to speak with someone directly, but I'm feeling really panicked about what to do. It has made a big difference to my pain and I dont know how I'll manage without it. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Hi

You can get up to six months in some circumstances. It could be the nature of the product as a controlled drug. I’d suggest you get a letter from the Dr confirming it’s your prescription and look up importing regulations regarding medication. Different countries have different regulations

Good luck with getting enough meds and have a great time
