Hello all Endo heroes,
I just wanted to share a couple of research films on Endometriosis that I've discovered recently. One is called Endo What? and although it's about 6 years old now, it includes some really interesting research and helpful (potentially game changing) information. There are lots of endometriosis specialist doctors/surgeons speaking in it, who discuss the misinformation given about endo. One thing that seemed particularly important is that if you're having surgery you should make sure the surgeon is going to Excise the endo- not use the burning technique- as this supposedly can create more damage!
There is another film coming out soon called 'Below the Belt' by the same person- Shannon Cohn - a big advocate for Endo. This one will include all new and updated research, as well as exposing and trying to gain more attention to the horrors of endo. You do have to buy the first film I mentioned, but the money all goes towards research. I really hope this new film will be recognised and shown for free - maybe on TV - how great would that be!
