Endometriosis specialist in Nottingham and area

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a doctor that specialise in endometriosis in Nottingham or in the area? I moved here from London and so far I had no luck with gynae. Because of Covid I've waited 12 months to see gynae, my scans were done 13 months before the visit. I didn't had any new scans done during the visit or before the visit. I've been diagnosed 10 years ago and had 2 surgeries already, I have a degree in nutrition and I'm doing a PhD in Science. I know my stuff about endometriosis, I'm not only living with it and managing it I also regularly read new published research. However the gynae I saw decided to treat me as a child and educate me what is endometriosis, she even drew a uterus for me, that's after me telling her my science background. Than when I refused to take another contraceptive pill as I had loads of unpleasant side effects from the last 3 I was taking, she told me I am being difficult and she discharged me because my 13 months old scans looked ok.

My GP is brilliant and was very helpful so far. But I would love to see someone who knows more and who won't dismiss me.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me so I am going private with spire in Southampton. I went on top doctor I found and that was helpful there is a specialist on there that I saw in Nottingham that I will be going to if this doesn’t work out down here maybe try that website. But he careful as I have found the ones we are already seeing on the NHS are the ones that are on there as private too. I wish you all the luck.

It's not allowed to name consultants on here but do you know what stage/severity your endo was at your two laps and how long ago were they?
