is it my period starting after 2 decapeptyl injections in last 6 months

diagnosed with excessive endometriosis and kissing ovaries from mri scan and ultra sound was put on decapeptyl didn't take the tibolene with it second injection was March 5 months on very sick stomach and pains nearly like menstrual cramping is it my period coming doc wants me to take more decapeptyl injections as 2nd mri showed shrinkage to the endo but I am in agony last few days anyone else experienced this after decapeptyl

Is this being prescribed by a specialist endo centre while you wait for surgery? The injections might shrink endometriomas as they are composed mostly of old blood (the endo is in the cyst wall) and inflammation but they don't reverse endo and it can still progress while on them. They are only given to help with pain and aren't a treatment for severe endo and aren't intended to be given long term but I understand the wait for surgery in endo centres is long. .
