I was wondering whether anyone can give me any advice... I came off the mini pill last year due to wanting to prepare my body for having children and getting married this year. Since coming off, I have experienced horrible symptoms such as excruciating periods and ovulation, bloating, pain with bowel movements during period, deep pain with sex, back ache and pain as well as pelvis and stomach. I was referred to a gynae by my GP who advised to have a lap, my lap was on Wednesday. To which I have been told that everything is normal?! They have dropped my referral and the only advice is that I could still have it but the only option is to go back on a pill? Or seek advice through my GP again to seek assistance with my bowel and bladder. I am feeling very hopeless and unheard! Anyone else experienced similar?

Awww i feel your pain, i am going through simular! I had my laparoscopy 2 weeks ago, although they found Adenomyosis they said it's not linked to my pain as my pain is everyday & worse when ovulating & due on. they think i should go back to physio for my bladder. Now they said i should go on the mini pill 🙈
They even wrote to my doctor that my pelvis is all clear & womb normal size, although they said it's slighltly bulky & pukered..When i spoke to my Gynea about this, she said it's not significant enoughto write down but i do have Adenomyosis but it's not linked to my pain!? So confusing!
All my pain symptoms scream Adenomyosis, i wish i had the money to go private.
Thank you for replying, it doesn't make me feel so alien! That is madness, so if adenomyosis is not the answer to the pain then they need to be finding out what?! 🤔 I am really struggling with the lack of help and to think I have to start from square one with my GP who have already told me they have no idea. I only had 2 incisions in my lap, is this what you had too? I never had any symptoms previously because I have been on a mini pill for years that masked it for me... There is no wonder they recommend it for hormonal treatment, I honestly had no symptoms and actually no periods mostly! I am getting married in 1 month and I really wanted answers from my lap so feeling pretty low 😔💛
Oh bless u, i can imagine 😞 Mentally and physically draining isn't it.
I have 3 incisions, but i was steralized aswel. So now I've been put in the mini pill is just madness.
They can't expect u to go back onthe pill when u want children 😞 u need the correct help. So crapisn't it 😢
They think the pain is down to my bladder, but my bladder is fine exept when i am due in i get uti symptoms & pressure. It's frustrating how they're telling me one thing but leaving it out of my notes & dismissing me.. as if we need anymore confusion 🙄 x
Thank you for your reply! It is reassuring to know that there are options. I was just baffled about the dismissive approach from the doctor and how they just washed their hands with it. Going private I think is the best bet.
