CT scan or MRI scan for endo diagnosis???

Ive been waiting on a CT scan since September 2021. Not diagnosed with endometriosis yet but Im hoping the scan will help with this. Just wanted to check if anyone has had a CT scan and it has shown up endometriosis or if an MRI scan is better. Im anxious about not getting answers!! 😭

Hi JujuB77,

I’ve never had a CT scan, but my consultant confirmed my endo from an MRI scan.

My Consultant did say that I would need a lap to officially diagnose me, which I’ve now had, but she was able to clearly see that I had endo on the MRI.

Hi,I had an CT scan in A&E on sunday night & they picked up endometriosis

I had a transvaginal scan that reported I had a cyst behind my uterus, and 2 ovarian cyst in my ovary. Then had a mri and was reported I had stage 4 endo. Pin pointed exactly where from mri. Ultra scan was a waste if a time for me didn't fund nothing. All when I had these.

I had an ultrasound in September 2020 which said I had a bulky uterus and I also found I had a duplex kidney. Havent had a transvaginal scan yet.
