My first doctors appointment was in 2006

Hi all,

I have been seeing the doctor since I was 13 years old with extremely painful and heavy periods, to be told they’re just period pains. I’ve been with irregular bleeding, painful urination, the lost goes on.

As I have got older, especially in the last three years I have been in so much pain. Even when I don’t have a period. I was put on the pill when I was 15, and I’ve been on it since. That’s nearly 15 years.

Sometimes I am in so much pain with my stomach and my back I’m physically sick, I am so tired all of the time. There are times when I have a bad flare up and I can’t even walk properly. Pain when I go to the toilet, pain when I move, pain when I don’t move. Pain during sex, pain after sex, bleeding after sex, to the point where I do not want it any more.

I’ve lost myself over the last few years, I am not who I was. I’m not as energetic doing my martial arts, going out with my friends… I was referred to a gynaecologist a year ago, and they keep pushing my appointment back.

Yesterday the pain was so bad in the top of my legs, my stomach my back, I was lethargic and if I’m honest at this point I was just begging for a period, because I need to make sense as to why this keeps happening. I just want the pain to go away.
