I had a laparoscopy 12 mths ago and they removed endometriosis and diagnosised adenomyosis and put a mirena coil in. I had complications and a surgical hernia which was repaired in July. I am now trying to stop taking tramadol but I am back to bleeding at ovulation and period although the amount is a lot less. What else can I do? The hospital discharged me as they feel my treatment is complete. I do not want to be on painkillers for ever but is there any other options?
Thanks everyone sorry for the moan feeling sorry for myself today

I tried upping vitamins and omega 3’s, will never eradicate pain but will help your body balance the hormones. Try Dr Mike Dow’s brain fog fix book for what to eat for each benefit. Helped me!
Sorry to hear you are still having problems. With the mirena coil I bled ever day for a year and then after that it got better. It helped with the pain so I kept it for around 2 1/2 years before having it out along with a hysterectomy (family complete). The coil did not suit me at all and made my mood feel very flat. It works wonders for some but not others. The best thing I've found for pain is heat. Sometimes alternating hot water bottle with ice pack. Hope you get some relief soon. You should go back to your GP for options and get another referral if necessary. The hospital will have you back time and time again as long as the request comes from your GP.
