Endometriosis pain returned after surgery

Hi, hope you are all well. I had surgery last year in February for multiple bilateral ovarian cysts due to endometriosis. The past couple of months I have noticed pain becoming worse. I get it constantly for days, in my groin area and even in the top of my thighs. Along with it, I feel drained and can't eat much. I had an MRI recently, waiting for results. Anyone had a similar situation or can give me any advice? Thank you!

Hello. Yes, top of thigh pain has been my standard endo pain for past 25 years(since I was 15). I also get fatigue diarrhea nausea and abdominal pain. Had robotic lap 8 years ago. Stage 4. Pain returned within 1-2 months after the surgery. I use naproxen or ibuprofen. Tens unit on my thighs. Hot water bottle. Rest. I also take citalopram for mood/anxiety. Recently I was diagnosed with a joint disorder and I went gluten free. It didn’t seem to effect my joints or endo. But then my rheumatologist started me on high dose steroids and not only are my joints better but my last cycle wasn’t so bad pain wise. I’m guessing the inflammation they are trying to address for my joints also improved my endo? But I’m sticking to gluten free anyways to help improve my overall diet as I was told that(diet) also has an effect on endometriosis. I figure it can’t hurt/ be any worse that it’s been. And it’s been pretty bad. Almost couldn’t work anymore. Barely functioning in life. I hope I’m not jinxing myself here but since starting steroids for my joints my energy has returned and my joints don’t hurt as bad and even my endo pain like the typical thigh pain was noticeably absent. There’s definitely a link between endo and inflammation in our bodies. I think that’s why diet adjustments help too. As you can see from my post I’ve been dealing with endo for awhile and it’s taken along time to see what works. Everyone may respond differently to meds/diet/ etc. but overall reduction of inflammation in your body is helpful and a good surgeon to remove the adhesions when necessary. Trust yourself and do your own research. This is a great site. That’s why I joined although in US, I find the advice and support here invaluable. 👍
