Wondering if anyone has had surgery that has been affected/ more complicated by having endo? Or issues healing?
Hope it's sunny where you are this morning, it's pretty grey here in the Midlands!
Been waiting for surgery for an inguinal hernia but a bit worried as in my pre -op they said the only time they ever switch to open surgery is if they uncovered endo , this was prior to my suspected endo diagnosis . I have requested a call to speak to surgeon to see what they suggest .
I have had the hernia approx 7yrs , for me this was strange as it only is painful when off birth control .
I naively hoped whilst I was having the hernia op they could maybe have a quick check for endo to avoid multiple surgeries... the receptionist found this rather amusing 🤣 .
I had surgery for a hernia repair a few years ago but after seeing it on 3 scans prior to surgery, they couldn’t find it during surgery! I have had a few ops for endo before this and a hysterectomy and now have lots of scar tissue and adhesions so maybe that’s why it couldn’t be found, who knows. It’s still there! Hope all goes well x
