I had 1 year follow up review after laparoscopic. I had stage 4 endometriosis, has been removed with some complications. Since my last op i am still in lots of pain on the right hand side. My consultant advice me to try Zalkya 2mg or the spine injection.I have read about this medication and there are some side effects.
Did enyone tried Zalkya? Please let me know if it really help.

Hi lovely! I have stage 4 endo too and have 2 laps recently. I am on Zalkya and have been for about 4 months- for me personally l have mixed feelings because it stopped myPeriods which for me was a major thing because my periods are absolutely horrendous. However it comes with side effects- personally for me- acne. Water retention. However, I had Zoladex previously and worked well to calm down the vascularity of my endo because it’s extremely vascular and inflamed and Zalkya works in a Somali way so I’m keeping on it with the aim of reducing the vascularity of my endo as I figure it’s way harder to control endo than it is acne- although I hate the side effects I’m pushing through for another couple of months to see how I go. I’m the same with bad adhesions on left side so I understand your pain. I hope that is helpful in some way!
Hi Maya. Tha k you very much. I have been in zoladex before my surgery and didn't help at wall. I still had bleeding and lots of pain. That's way I am quite scared to try now this new medication as my hormones was all over the place and it just settled a bit down now.I wish you lots of health.
Hello, I also have stage 4 endo, and have just swapped from desogestrel to zalkya. I have only been on it for one week, and have had no side effects yet except maybe increased discharge (not bleeding). I had acne and low moods from the desogestrel, which seem to have improved slightly perhaps? So far, it is doing a good job of suppressing my pain and bleeding. I would say definitely give it a go - I was quite nervous because I've read lots of stories online about nasty side effects, but remember that people often don't write about good experiences!
Hi.I have tried desogestrol immediately after my surgery and I would say I had bleeding one months when I have decided to give up on them as I was feeling worst. I am quite afraid to try this new medication to be honest, but I will see.
