Concern over new symptoms

Hi everyone, I’ve had endometriosis since I was 12 but was diagnosed when I was 16. I’ve had ovarian cysts a couple of times and have had the associated ops. I’ve not had any further cysts since about 2004 now.

However this evening I have started to get very uncomfortable pain on the right hand side of my stomach along with a sharp shooting pain up my bottom and vagina. I am feeling a bit scared of it as I don’t know what is causing it, I’ve googled it but of course you can get more paranoid when Googling something! I’ve seen that endo can cause these types of symptoms and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what might help please? It is very painful at times and causing me to jump when I get the sharp shooting pains.

I’ve had this once before and the two times it has happened has been about 4 days after my period. I get quite bad clotting with my period too which causes bad pain.

I’m sorry that my first post is a bit full on and I apologise if I don’t make much sense but I’m just sitting here in bed with a hot water bottle feeling a bit upset and worried about this. Obviously in the current climate I don’t want to go sitting in A and E or anything, its bearable but very uncomfortable and I just wondered if anyone has any advice please.

Thank you

Hi, I'm currently on the waiting list to see a gyne for suspected endo after many years of different symptoms.I'm not sure if it is endo I have but all symptoms seem to point in that direction.

I completely understand the shooting pains! The only time iv ever felt anything like this it when I had back to back labour pains. It really takes your breath away. I get random stabbing/ shooting through pelvis but mainly straight upwards through back passage.

I also get clots too. And a dragging sensation in pelvis when I go for a wee on My period. Feels like my womb is about to drop out 🤦‍♀️.

Xx

I’m afraid I’ve never found anything specific that helps with the shooting aspect of the pain. But I really recommend a long hot water bottle (mines from YuYu) as I wrap it between and around my legs and over my ovary and the direct warmth on those areas helps so so much
